A little bit about us

Hi there! Looking for a summer nanny who loves being active and outdoors! We have a 4yo boy (who will be 5 in May) that will be on summer break June-August 10th. It's possible we will do a nanny share with another family who has a boy the same age. (Our other younger kids will be in daycare).

The kids love to play outside, ride bikes/scooters, go to the playground, play at the beach, etc - they are always on the go🫠.

Schedule would roughly be M-TH 8:00am-4:00pm.

Meal prep for the kids and clean up after the kids would be part of the job. You should be comfortable driving with kids so you can go to activities (using our car). We are in Clairemont.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Self employed father of two amazing multiracial daughters (10 and 13 yrs old). Live in University Heights looking for someone to help plan outdoor activities and provide support during those times. Do not need child care or in home services - primarily looking for in person planning and support for the days/times hired. Father will be present and involved with children. We have two small dogs. Role is similar to personal assistant - but for family. Current need is for two days per week (Sundays 10am - 6pm and Tuesdays 8am - 6pm) for approximately four - six months. Activities will include sports, beach, hiking, classes (music, art, theatre, etc.) - the more outside and active, the better! Car not required. Looking for somene for either or both days. Thanks –

A little bit about us

We are the Ramon's family! I am Albert, my wife Linette, baby Mia and Cava (dog). I am from Spain, Linette from Chicago and Mia was born in San Diego! We used to live in Chicago and have been living in San Diego for close to 3 years now.

We are seeking a Spanish speaking baby sitter for Mia. We are flexible on start date (sometime end of August / beginning of September) and the schedule would be Tuesdays and Wednesdays (about 8h each day). We would like to keep you employed part time until early 2024.
You would be taking care of Mia in our apartment while I work remotely from the bedroom. We have a big terrace to play with her when it's sunny and our neighborhood has pretty walks to take her out for a stroll.
Mia is currently 5 months old. She will be around 6 months when you start working, so she may already be eating some solids. Hence, may need your help feeding her and/or preparing some snacks for her.

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
