A little bit about us
We are interviewing babysitters/nannies for our three children aged 6 years, 4 years and 2 years old.
The ideal candidate is one who is excited to work with children, enjoys planning activities and crafts, and excels at multi-tasking with multiple children. You would be expected to prepare meals for the children.
We are in need of an experienced nanny 1-2 consistent days PER WEEK for care of the children from about 9 am to around 5 pm. The days of the week and exact times are negotiable but need to be consistent once established. This is for the duration of summer, until school restarts. Only our oldest son is home the entirety of the day, the other two have care from 9-4.
We do have 2 dogs, mini Aussies, who would be in the home with you as well. We also have a kitten.
We would prioritize applicants with experience caring for children with special needs. Our children are diagnosed with autism and receive speech and ABA therapy. The eldest two are verbal, the youngest is not yet.
We require that you be CPR certified and educated in what to do in choking emergencies.
In addition to the 1-2 consistent days per week, we are always in need of PRN babysitters for date nights and weekends, so if our family seems like a good fit please send me a message !
Thank you !

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?
Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.
Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities
Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.
How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs
Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:
- What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
- Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
- What is the reason for the temporary role?
- How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
- What routines and house rules should I know on day one?
Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
