A little bit about us

Seeking Exceptional Post Birth Doula/Nanny for 6 week position. Part time *Schedule is somewhat flexible* Hi! I am due with baby #4, our first daughter, in January! We have 3 wonderful and wild boys, a 6 year old, and 3 year old twins. They play exceptionally well together, and are kind and loving boys. I am hoping to find someone who can be present with my 6 year old during my home birth with my amazing team of midwives. Twins will most likely be with my mum, but my 6 year old is very excited to be present at baby sisters birth :) *Must have experience attending births.* We are looking for help with childcare (picking up the twins from morning school), as well meal prep/clean up for my husband and I as well as our 3 picky eaters, someone who can help with laundry/house upkeep, making sure I am getting rest & nourishment during the early days with our new baby. We are looking for someone with years of experience & doula work. Must have references.

A little bit about us

In URGENT need of a reliable nanny/ sitter who can entertain, feed and enjoy the laughs of sweet Stella while we are finishing up our work day(s). I will be having a major knee surgery on 11/26 and will be down for the count for 12-16 weeks.

Stella is turning 3 and she is a very busy toddler to say the least, she is outgoing and very funny with lots of new words and sounds coming from her. Her best friend is our 2 year old pitbull mix named Beaux. He is crate trained and also very friendly and lovable.

Carter is 8 and Mason is 10. Both boys are sweet, respectful and kind. They both have their own interests. Carter is our daredevil, adventurer and loves to be outside and Mason is our calm kiddo who finds joy in building amazing Lego pieces.

I would need help Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 3-6:30/7PM, some occasional help on Friday and Saturdays as my husband works a very strenuous plumbing and is on call some nights.

I would need help with meal preparation and the entertainment piece is a huge must for the kids as I’ll be incapacitated in a locked knee brace. We also have two dogs, beaux and Frank.

I’ll be in the house while you’re there and can support where I can but I’ll also need to be able to work and keep ahead of the laundry and other chores so I’ll need some help keeping them preoccupied!

A little bit about us

I’m a bicycle mechanic at Goodale’s bike shop, we just had Axel on February the 10th and I have a short leave of only 3 weeks, so time is of the essence, his mother Emily has 3 months so we’re just browsing at the moment but we want to exhaust all of our options. We have all supplies necessary for care of him including but not limited to: diapers, wipes, formula, binkies, changes of clothes so on and so forth! I go to work at 9:30 so I’ll likely be the one dropping him off and mom is out at 5 so she’ll likely be the one picking him up, we only need Monday and Tuesday covered for the time being.

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
