A little bit about us

The cutest and sweetest 3 month old baby boy! I work a hybrid schedule and need a partirme nanny the month of August and sporadically until my part-time live in nanny moves in the first week of September. It would be a 3-5 days/wk commitment. No help needed on weekends. I expect help with just cleaning up after my son and keeping a clean environment for him (bottles, clothes, toys, clean diapers etc.). As well as 1-2 walks or time outside in the shade. Tummy time in any form for a collected total of 2-3 hours/day (not all at once). He loves to chat so hope you’re chatty too! I will need help from 9-3pm. Otherwise, I’m home.

A little bit about us

We are looking for a full time nanny (M-F 9-5) of our 4 little ones from end of Jan to May of 2024. We are looking for someone fun and energetic who can keep up with the chaos of 4 kids- ages 6, 4, and twins who are almost 2. The 4 and 6 yo have school (4yo is twice a week preschool and 6 yo all day Kindergarten), but we manage drop off and pick up. I work half of the time from home and the other half in office and my husband is in his office full time. You would be responsible for keeping them safe and engaged in meaningful activities, feeding lunch and snacks, and keeping the home tidy as you and the children play. We are looking for someone who is kind above all else, patient, loves kids and is ready to be loved by them in return :)

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
