Some activities I enjoy doing with children include, but are not limited to: reading, playing pretend, going to the park, and brain games. I also often bring my own crafts and enjoy taking fieldtrips to local museums, etc.

My experience with special needs children...
I was a full-time nanny and homeschool teacher for an autistic boy in kindergarten and his older brother, who struggled with severe ADHD and behavioral issues. I worked with these sweet boys for a year before they resumed in-person learning.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I nannied and home-schooled two girls, one of whom struggled with reading. We would read a Magic Treehouse book every day and practice writing book summaries when we finished. Her mother told me that when she went back to in-person learning, she was ahead of her class in reading. This was a gratifying and rewarding moment in my career.
