Hello! My name is Aaliyah . Growing up in a large family, I developed a love for caring for others while helping with my younger siblings. For the past few years, I've worked in elementary schools and currently with the after-school program, Discover Champions. My ultimate goal is to work in healthcare, but for now, I'm passionate about providing exceptional childcare. I'd describe myself as patient, creative, and empathetic. I love working with kids because their curiosity and openness remind me of the importance of lifelong learning. I strive to create nurturing environments where children can thrive, celebrating their milestones, fostering creativity, and building strong relationships with them and their families.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done many volunteer work with children at Elementary Schools all over Orlando. I volunteered this past summer for a K-5 Summer Camp at Riverdale Elementary School, and had a blast with all the kiddos doing fun activities, splashy water days, and learning to read. I also have worked the past two years at Little River Elementary School and Union Park Elementary School as a Before and After-School care teacher, where I worked with Kindergarteners and First-Graders to help them regulate their emotions, develop communication skills, have snacks, and do fun and creative activities.

I love to do really creative art crafts with kids based on upcoming holidays or lessons, as well as talking with them and playing pretend!

Is properly listening and respecting the words and needs of a child. A nanny must understand that children need a special grace, as they are learning to understand themselves and their emotions for the first time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was caring for a 7 year old boy. One day, we were talking and he admitted he loved Michael Jackson, and watches the music videos often. Moments later, he broke down into the entire choreographed Thriller dance ! Although I loved every second of it, his mom (who had seen him perform it everyday for weeks) could only roll her eyes, haha!
