A little bit about me

I’m a recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s in Africana Studies and minor in law in Philosophy, however my passion has always been preparing the youth for the future. With over 10+ years of personal experience with and teaching my own classes part-time, child care comes second nature to me. I am available throughout the week for after-school enrichment and on the weekends for babysitting opportunities. I am CPR and First aid certified with experience in children of all ages especially with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I am exceptionally skilled in meal prep, diaper changes, and sleep schedules/strategies. I am creative, a listener, communicator, and patient around the spectrum of kiddos. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher at Abundant Christian Life Church, offering education in history, critical thinking, music, mathematics and arithmetics, Science, reading and comprehension, and emotional intelligence from ages 4-9.

I also have experience working with children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I provided services that allowed each individual to maintain their level of independence and assist with daily living tasks.

Personally, I have experience with infants, babies, toddlers, and kids within family for over 10+ years. Meal prepping, after school enrichment, potty training, exploring community, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I enjoy with the kiddos is drawing/coloring for enhancing creativity. Active reading time where the kids gather in a circle and interact with the book of their or my choice by reenactment and theatrics, this allows for children to comprehend what it is I’m reading and allow for them to be encouraged to read as well. Safe easy-to-clean science experiments are great activities that kiddos love to do because it’s active and engaging while also being educational, these activities plants seeds for children to grow up to be adventurers, writers, and people working in STEM.

I’ve worked with children with behavioral needs, physical needs, and intellectual needs. All with the intention and purpose of assisting them to achieve their goals and level of independence.
