Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 140+ college credits in childhood education. I also worked as a teachers aide for 3 years before going to college. After working as a sub and student teaching for another 2 I decided that I wanted to pursue education in a different way. That's when I started working at the YMCA and took over all aquatic programming and now I am the first responder to any emergencies in the building and responsible for teaching and training instructors in water safety. I teach 12 hours of private swim lessons each week to students with different abilities. I also teach several infant classes at this facility.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm a big believer in learning through play. My speciality is creativity and making just about anything both fun and educational. I would love to get your children playing outdoors, going on hikes, and learning about nature. I have tons of arts and craft supplies- and the options there are endless! We can also do science 'experiments' with household items, like making ooblek. With your blessing, we could also take field trips to local parks or museums!

My experience with special needs children...
I worked as a teachers aide in a special needs classroom for almost 3 years. I have taken many college courses geared towards special needs children. I have a swim certification that took 14 hours to complete and was exclusively about how to teach children with disabilities to swim. I now have several students in lessons all with different abilities, many of my students are on the Autism spectrum, others have down syndrome, one has cerebral palsy, and there are others too.
