Build forts, make up dances, cook food/fun snacks, read books, go on walks or hikes, ride bikes, paint or draw, have a movie night, do homework, learn instruments, go to the park/the mall/the grocery... basically anything, anywhere!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The connection with the children. Babies are like sponges; the world around them is which they soak up, and if there's any opportunity to shed some light or positively influence the future generation to come, I'm all in.
My experience with special needs children...
My 1 year old nephew has autism, and looking after him in these last few months has been rare but so precious. I've learned so much about proper care and affection for special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love taking the kids I nanny to see Santa at the mall. Being allowed to share such a sweet experience with them was precious! The way they light up and describe every little detail of what they want is priceless. (and very convenient for the parents!) lol.
