I enjoy spending time with kids. I believe in respecting the parents decision on how to raise their kids, and will help fulfill their requests. I also do some light cleaning, so that the parents can have some help. I am a aunt and watch over my nephews from time to time but I’m hoping to expand out of the family. I am hard working, honest, trustworthy, and very loving towards kids. Some other things about me would be. I am starting my junior year in high school, I bake very delicious deserts, and love animals.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at a summer camp last summer, with children from the age of 7-12

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creating games with the kids and being active in games of their choosing. I am very good with my imagination and also like to draw/color. Decorating cookies is always fun with children 5 and up. I love reading stories to kids and watching movies with them(if approved by parents). Board games are always fun. Swimming on a sunny day is always a favorite of my nephews. When days are too hot or wet to go out side then I love to find this to do inside with the kids. I even enjoy helping with homework if they have any. Lastly I enjoy helping the kids out with their goal for that day, whether it be saving an imaginary princess or to build a whole LEGO set.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Would be the influence a nanny can have on the children. As their minds develop children use human examples of how to interact, behavior, and communication. Spending that much time with a child, as a nanny you have to be one of those examples. Not only that but help teach how to handle overpowering emotions. Sometimes kids have a hard time expressing their feelings and part of the nanny’s influence is to help them navigate through the emotions.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As I mentioned previously I haven’t nannied before but I have babysat some of my nephews and cousins. Although the children I’ve sat before were my family my favorite part about watching over them would be when I make them laugh. My advantage is knowing the children’s parents(family members) but that doesn’t mean I automatically know the children. But after building that bond with the child/children and being able to make them laugh is my favorite moment of being a child’s caretaker.
