A little bit about me

I'm 23 years old, and have been around kids and childcare my entire life. I've grown up with a mother who ran an in-home daycare that I actually attended when I was younger! The older I got the more I wanted to help out at the daycare. Eventually, I started helping on my days off from school, and any days I could to be my moms assistant , especially the summer care programs she ran. I also worked at a daycare for children with learning disabilities for a year as a teachers assistant along with a head aftercare teacher. As I've gotten older I've learned how to teach kids to become independent and learn how to do things on their own. I've learned from my mom and my own experiences in correctly disciplining a child, I believe in redirecting instead of a punishment, so a child can see what they did wrong, why its wrong, and what they can do differently next time!
