• Outdoor play – walks to the park, nature exploration, and active games to build motor skills.
• Reading time – interactive storytelling and helping children build a love for books.

• Routine-based independence – encouraging children to help clean up toys, wash hands, and build confidence in daily tasks.

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child I cared for finally reached a milestone we had been working on together. Seeing their excitement and pride — whether it was saying a new word, taking independent steps, or learning something new — reminded me why I love working with children. Being able to support their growth, encourage their confidence, and celebrate those small but meaningful victories is incredibly rewarding.
