Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently work as an early preschool teacher, where I care for and supervise young children every day. My responsibilities include creating a safe and nurturing environment, helping with learning activities, supervising play, assisting with meals, diaper changes and potty training when needed, and supporting children’s social and emotional development.

Through my experience, I’ve learned how to stay calm, patient, and attentive while meeting each child’s individual needs. I enjoy building positive relationships with children and their families, and I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care that gives parents peace of mind.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing activities that keep kids engaged, learning, and having fun! Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, coloring, painting, reading books, building with blocks, puzzles, sensory play, dancing, singing, and imaginative play. I also enjoy spending time outside, whether that’s going for walks, playing at the park, blowing bubbles, or playing games.

For older kids, I enjoy helping with homework, board games, science experiments, baking simple treats, movie nights, and fun educational activities. I like to tailor activities to each child’s age and interests so they’re having fun while learning and feeling supported.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children who have special needs through my role as an early preschool teacher, where I’ve supported children with a variety of abilities and learning styles. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and meeting each child where they are.

I also have personal experience because my nephew is autistic. Being part of his life has helped me better understand the importance of communication, routine, flexibility, and creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and accepted.

Whether through my professional or personal experience, my goal is always to provide compassionate, individualized care and work closely with families to meet each child’s unique needs.
