I grew up with 3 younger sisters and my mother ran a daycare. Although i did not practice, I completed a Lic Practical Nursing.

I have a 20 y.o. niece w/ Autism whose cognitive abilities are less than a 3 yr old. She suffers from seizures and needs diligent care.

not a 'nanny' moment per se, but, after volunteering with the special olympics for a while, m i had the most reserved, autistic kid in the group come hold my hand. He had never approached anyone else!
