Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was class room helper for my children when they attended school. I worked for a pediatric dental office and had to calm and comfort children to reduce fear. Lastly, I took care of my sick sister and her 2 children working with home care company for 2 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to read, teach songs, dance, and play with toys that promote imagination, improve motor skills, and give practice with numbers, letters, shapes, and colors. Creative art projects to make for Mommy and Daddy are a favorite! Nature walks, play ground, riding toys, swimming, and “I see something”games outside all are a great way to promote fresh air and exercise.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most important part of being a nanny is the experience of developing a trust and report. It allows a child to enjoy the separation of Mommy / Daddy without feelings of anxiety and sadness that causes insecurities. Developing excitement not apprehension at my arrival.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a child with autism and had no problems making sure to meet his need with understanding and patience I am not one to expect more from a child above their individual’s abilities and I accept and nurture the child with positive and encouragement.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love to see the pride and joy in a child’s eyes when they make a gift for a loved one. I made a backpack for Mommy’s birthday with my 4 year old grand daughter- she picked the picture and colored the design. The excitement and love in giving was a wonderful lesson in kindness.
