More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began babysitting as a teenager and have continued working with children and families throughout my adult life. I worked as an art teacher at Camp Wamatochick in Prescott, where I taught and supervised children ages 6–18. I also worked at Walt Disney World, where I regularly interacted with children and families. As a Resident Services Coordinator for Rainbow Housing, I helped organize youth programs, educational activities, arts and crafts, and community programs for children and families. I also worked as a Support Specialist for Child & Family Support Services. These experiences taught me how to communicate with children of different ages, plan engaging activities, provide structure, maintain a safe environment, and help children feel comfortable and supported.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy arts and crafts, drawing and painting, board games, reading, educational activities, cooking and baking, outdoor activities, walks, age-appropriate exercise, imaginative play, and helping children explore new interests. I especially enjoy activities that are both fun and educational and give children opportunities to be creative, active, and engaged.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of caring for children is making sure they feel safe, supported, respected, and cared for. I believe a good caregiver should be attentive to each child’s individual needs while also providing structure, encouragement, healthy meals and snacks, physical activity, and opportunities to learn and have fun. I want parents to feel confident knowing their children are being cared for with patience, kindness, consistency, and responsibility.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with learning disabilities and understand the importance of patience, encouragement, clear communication, and adapting activities to meet each child’s individual needs. I first gained this experience while working with children with learning disabilities during high school and have continued developing my experience working with children and families throughout my career.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite memories from working with children have come from teaching art. I loved seeing how proud and excited children became when they finished a project and couldn't wait to show me what they had created. Some of their drawings of me looked absolutely nothing like me, which always made me laugh! Those moments reminded me how rewarding it is to help children learn, be creative, build confidence, and feel proud of themselves.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Flagstaff, AZ: Leah M.
Hello! My name is Leah. I am a kind, fun, hard-working and reliable individual. My love for working with kids began at the age of seven when I would take care of my two and four-year-old sisters. Since then, my babysitting experience has grown to include taking care of children in their infancy, all the way up to their pre-teens. In addition to this, I regularly volunteered as a teacher’s assistant at a local preschool and kindergarten in my teen years. My passion for babysitting and working with kids is what motivates me to be the fun, engaging, caring and responsible babysitter your child deserves. I plan to help cultivate your child's personality, hobbies, and imagination in a safe, enriching environment. I am willing to set guidelines and be firm when necessary all while maintaining a positive, uplifting atmosphere. I am thrilled at the possible opportunity of becoming your babysitter.
