A little bit about me

I’m a current part-time nanny and am looking for additional hours during the summer! (July -August 23rd). I love being a nanny, and being welcomed into a family to help care for a child is such a privilege. My experience includes:
• babysitting for the past 10 years
• nannying with one family for the past 3 years
• working with children on the spectrum as a behavior technician
• work in elementary schools during the past 2 years

Education wise, I graduated with my M.Ed. in School Counseling this month and working with young kids is a passion of mine. As a nanny, I prioritize safety, teaching kids independence, and overall helping them to eventually become amazing adults. I also take pride in turning all things into teachable moments and I love assisting kids in working through their big feelings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

safety always comes first, but of course fun comes second! Helping teach the child how to become independent and help them through the challenges of all that is childhood is such an adventure!

My favorite collection of moments have been seeing a child develop and grow over time (including first steps, first words, them learning how to manage their first tantrum, putting on their shoes for the first time, successful potty training)
