Some of my favorite indoor activities to do with kids include drawing, playing board games, and card games like Uno. With school approaching, I always make sure homework is completed first before we have fun. For outdoor time, I enjoy taking the kids to the park, playing basketball, and getting creative with sidewalk chalk.

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the kids are well taken care of, both physically and emotionally. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing environment where they feel supported, loved, and understood. But it’s also about having fun—making memories, encouraging creativity, and bringing joy into their everyday routines.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience working with children who have special needs. I’ve cared for a child with a disability, helping transport her to and from school, and I also helped care for my aunt, who had Down syndrome, before she passed. While my experience in this area is limited, I’m very open and willing to work with more children with special needs and eager to learn more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be when one of the kids I was watching made me a little “thank you” card completely out of the blue. It had crayon drawings, stickers, and said, “You’re the best babysitter ever!” It was such a small gesture, but it honestly made my whole week. Moments like that remind me why I love working with kids so much.
