The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children feel cared for and encouraged to grow. It’s not only about meeting their daily needs, but also about building trust, being a positive role model, and helping them learn through play, creativity, and everyday moments.

While I have limited direct experience working with children with special needs, I have cared for one child with unique needs, which was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. Through my Teacher Education major at Felician University, I am also gaining knowledge and certification in working with children with special needs, which is helping me build the skills and understanding needed to support all learners effectively.

One of my favorite nanny moments was helping the children I cared for create their own song and performing it together at camp. It was a meaningful experience because it encouraged creativity, teamwork, and confidence while allowing us to bond in a fun and memorable way.
