More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was the PTA-designated childcare provider from September of 2018 through February of 2020 (thanks, COVID). This job entails being responsible for all of the childcare at PTA meetings; ensuring students have fun, stay safe, and expend enough energy that their folks can get them to sleep easier. This could be anywhere from 2-10 children, from all grades K-5. As a result of this unique position, I have a wide variety of experience with students from diverse backgrounds across a diverse set of ages.

I also have experience as a preschool teacher. I have worked with toddlers and preschoolers, and I loved it!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on nature walks where we can learn about plants and bugs, reading, playing board games, playing dress-up, painting, drawing with chalk, and hosting mini science experiments. I enjoy anything that helps get kids excited about this cool world that we live in!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is keeping the children you care for safe. I also strive to foster each child’s individual and unique personalities, ensuring that they feel safe enough to share their feelings with me. My goal is to keep your child safe and to help them grow!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with neurodiverse and special needs children from elementary through high school. I also have close personal experience working with autistic children. I am open to learning more about and gaining experience in the realm of special needs care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was working with these two adorable siblings in Parkrose, and we were drawing with chalk. The kiddos told me to close my eyes, so I did (first mistake). The five and eight year old duo managed to dump so much chalk dust on me that I left a trail of rainbow dust when I walked. They were so proud of themselves that they cackled for ten minutes straight. Afterwards, they told me that I was a piece of art (but only because of all the chalk).
