I have done many clinical cites at school involving childcare I’ve been to a daycare, a pediatric hospital, a children’s mental health center, and I’ve also babysat. I have gotten to care from children from the moment they were born to teenagers . Every moment I spend time around children I am blessed, I think they are God’s most precious creation and my life goal is to make sure that I can help and protect as many children as I possibly can!
My experience with special needs children...
I was given an amazing opportunity to work at banyan children’s center and care for children with all types of needs; such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, autism, etc. it has provided me with a well rounded understanding of how to take care of children who need a little extra love and attention! One big takeaway I learned was how important it is to follow routine and be patient with children that have special needs.
