Hi! My name is Alena. I'm 24 years old and currently living in Oviedo. I graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Psychology and have since worked in education, currently as a substitute teacher primarily with elementary and middle school students. I have experience working with children from pre-K through 12th grade and am very passionate about supporting and engaging kids at every stage. I'm organized, punctual, and reliable, but I also love to have fun—whether that's through arts and crafts, outdoor walks, games, or movie time (if permitted!). I'm available for summer-only positions, as I’ll be relocating in August. I’m passionate about keeping children engaged through fun, hands-on activities rather than relying on screens for entertainment. I enjoy creative activities like drawing, coloring, puzzles, and reading, as well as brain games that help kids think critically. I also love staying active—whether that’s playing sports, going for walks, or just getting outside. I’m a fan of age-appropriate movies and also enjoy baking, especially when there’s a little helper involved!

The most important parts of being a nanny are creating a safe, supportive environment, building trust with both the child and the parents, and being reliable and adaptable to meet the child’s needs—while also fostering a fun, uplifting, and lighthearted atmosphere where kids can thrive.

I also have some experience working with children with special needs from my time as a paraprofessional. While my experience isn’t extensive, it has given me a deeper understanding of how to be patient, supportive, and adaptable in different situations.
