I have reliable transportation, and can assist with light housekeeping, and meaningful play. I have some college education that I am currently continuing through self-paced online courses to make the process of getting my BA in Psychology a bit easier!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've regularly cared for six children over the past five years, including infants, toddlers, and kids up to age 9. This included preparing bottles, handling bedtime routines, organizing activities, and helping with potty training. Currently, I care for a 3-, 8-, and 9-year-old on an as-needed basis throughout the month. I also used to consistently care for a 4- and 6-year-old (since infancy), though now I only see these two about once a month.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy anything that gets kids laughing, thinking, or moving. This includes playing outdoors, games like hide-and-seek or Uno, and even silly made-up games like "Taser-bot." I also find the ways they reason out decisions characters make in the books I'm reading to them fascinating, like why would an alien come to a planet that we live on and not enjoy it? I also enjoy the drawings they make when given the suggestion of, "draw how you currently feel." I also enjoy just talking with them about their interests. Caring for these kids can be overwhelming at times, but I genuinely enjoy helping them understand and manage their energy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is meeting both a child’s daily needs and emotional growth. Whether I’m preparing bottles for an infant or guiding a 9-year-old through a game of Uno or Minecraft, I aim to create a space where kids feel cared for, safe, and respected. I enjoy helping them manage their energy and understand values like kindness and fairness—whether it’s during bedtime routines or while settling conflicts during a game of hide-and-seek.

My experience with special needs children...

My younger brother (age 9) often struggles to express himself or communicate his thoughts clearly due to his autism. While these challenges can sometimes make certain situations stressful, I truly enjoy supporting him through those moments. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch him overcome those obstacles—whether by finding ways to communicate more clearly or by engaging in his own unique way that works for him and those around him.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I'm not sure if I have a favorite "moment," but here are a couple of moments that occasionally happen that always make me smile:
One is when the kids try to teach me how to do something but forget a step. It gives me the chance to help them think critically—like explaining what happens when ice melts, or looking up how the moon affects Earth’s tides so we can learn together.
Another is when the 3-year-old asks for a snack but doesn’t know the name of it. He’ll say “red nack” for a fruit stick or “green apple” when he means a pear. These moments are always great, as it allows me to give him the correct words to more properly express what he wants or needs.
