My aunt has a son with autism and I have always been so good with him. I can calm him down in a matter of minutes with just a few words and a calming voice. I’ve learned over the years if you treat them with respect and have patience with them, it goes a lot farther than raising your voice or getting upset with them because they aren’t understanding or overstimulating.
