A little bit about me

Hi there! I’m Alexa. I’d describe myself as easygoing, bubbly, and fun-loving. I really enjoy working with kids and have experience since high school. I recently graduated from SCAD with a degree in Interior Design and just launched my own firm, but I’m also looking for a meaningful job that lets me spend time with children; I’m able to do this due to my schedule being so flexible. I’m also CPR/First Aid certified and passionate about creating a fun, safe, and imaginative environment for kids!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I nannied for a family with two girls, ages 4 and 7, and they were as silly and full of imagination as kids come. I handled school and bus pickups, lunch and snack prep, and fun adventures like bookstore visits, coffee shop dates, backyard mess-making, pillow fort building, fairy house crafting, and ballet classes. I also casually babysat a family’s toddlers and young children (from the time they were 2 until they were 8) for several years. I feel totally confident with the baby and toddler basics: feeding, diaper changes, naps, playtime, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading with them, going on walks, and just chatting with them; kids are the best conversationalists. I’m a big fan of imaginative and tactile play like puzzles, crafts, fairy house building, and getting messy in the name of creativity. There’s nothing better than watching a kid discover something new and light up, especially when it’s over something cute like using the vacuum cleaner or hearing a new song they like.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny means being a safe place, for both the child and the parent. I think kids need to feel protected, heard, and encouraged to be themselves, and parents need to feel like their child is in good hands with someone they trust completely. I take that really seriously. I also think I bring a sense of ease, humor, and autonomy into the room. Kids/babies tend to warm up to me quickly because they feel I’m not here to “boss them around”, just to care for them, laugh with them, watch them grow, and cheer them on.

My experience with special needs children...

While I haven’t formally cared for a child with special needs, I’m always open and eager to learn from parents about any routines, therapies, or accommodations that support their child’s well-being and growth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The girls I nannied used to throw little (sweet, dramatic) fits when I had to leave for the day, which was somehow both heartbreaking and the best compliment. I also loved watching the younger one bloom: attending her first ballet class, gaining confidence, and showing up to her first day of K4 with so much pride. Being part of those “firsts” is something I’ll never forget.

Kayce L. - Seeking Work in Atlanta

Full-Time Nanny Available in Atlanta, GA: Kayce L.

Hi! My name is Kayce, and caring for children has always come naturally to me. I genuinely enjoy creating a safe, loving, and positive environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and able to grow. I have experience caring for infants, elementary-aged children, and middle schoolers.

My most recent role was working as a professional family doula, where I provided overnight infant care and postpartum support for families. My experience includes feeding routines, soothing techniques, diaper changes, sleep support, breastmilk preparation and storage, bottle prep, skin-to-skin support, and lactation education. I also previously worked as a Program Assistant, where I helped students with homework, academics, enrichment activities, and STEM learning. In addition, I assist families with meal prepping, children’s laundry, transportation, and maintaining smooth daily routines.

Families would describe me as patient, dependable, nurturing, and trustworthy.

Laila K. - Seeking Work in Atlanta

Babysitter Available in Atlanta, GA: Laila K.

Hi, I’m Laila! I’m originally from Virginia but grew up right here in Georgia. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a B.A. in Finance, and I currently work as a financial analyst at a tech company. When I’m not working, you can usually find me on a tennis court, planning my next travel adventure, doing yoga, golfing, or volunteering in the community. Even with a busy professional life, working with kids has always been one of my favorite things. I have three younger siblings who keep me laughing and, on my toes, and they’re the reason I’m so comfortable with daily routines, homework help, and fun activities. I’m known for being patient, dependable, and the kind of person who can turn even a regular afternoon into something fun. I love creating a safe, upbeat environment where kids feel supported and excited to be themselves. I’m looking forward to connecting with a family who wants someone positive, reliable, and full of good energy in their home.

Thank you!
Victoria M. - Seeking Work in Atlanta

Babysitter Available in Atlanta, GA: Victoria M.

Hello! My name is Victoria Mpaka, I am a 17 y/o first-year psychology major on the pre-law track at Spelman College in Atlanta. I am the oldest of four so I’ve been caring for children for as long as I can remember—my brothers are 16, 12, and 6 years old, so I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience with all age groups.

I am originally from Angola, I was born and raised there before moving to the U.S. nearly ten years ago. I’m fluent in English and Portuguese (my first language), and I can also understand and speak Spanish moderately well.

In addition to caring for my siblings, I’ve worked at summer camps and volunteered as a coach for a youth track team. Mentoring kids and being someone they can trust, talk to, and look up to is a passion of mine. For me, it’s all about building strong, lasting connections.

I’m currently looking for a family that’s flexible with my school schedule, and I’m excited about the opportunity to become a dependable and caring babysitter for your children!

Even though I know that teachers often struggle with low pay, my passion for childcare and education remains unwavering. As an only child, I’ve formed strong bonds with my many cousins and nephew, and I’ve been fortunate to babysit for family and friends for the past two years. This experience has deepened my love for nurturing and guiding children, and I cherish every moment I spend with them.
