I have worked as a teacher at a daycare facility for close to a year now. I have worked with a range of ages but mainly in the toddler room (9 month-2 year olds) and Pre-k room (4-6 year olds).

At my daycare I have had several children with special needs in my classroom. Also while not a job my older brother is autistic and I have been helping look after him my whole life growing up. The most important thing is being patient and understanding and working with the parents to learn what works best for their child.

My most recent family was blessed with a baby girl while I was working with their older son. I got to take both children to the aquarium once the little girl was one and getting to watch as her bug brother excitedly introduced her to all the animals will forever remain a treasured memory for me.
