In my last full-time position, I worked with low support needs neurodivergent and intellectually disabled young adults teaching life skills. Personally and in a volunteer capacity, I have worked with deaf and hard of hearing children. Specifically, my godson who is profoundly hard of hearing and has bi-lateral cochlear implants. He is in his twenties now and he has taught me so much.
