A little bit about me

Hello!

I am a mother of a 1-year-old baby boy, looking to begin my career in nannying. The early ages of their lives are so important. I believe that children learn through play, love, and gentleness.
I have experience with children ages 0-12yo dating back to high school. For almost 10 years, I worked in a childcare setting, with occasional childcare for families in a home setting.
Reason for my career switch to nannying is because as a mother- I am in need of a stable income while caring for my son. Huge bonus is connecting with families, building friendships, and being apart of a village to raise their precious children.
I value my family and faith. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my son. Going for walks. A trip to the park. Or something as simple as a movie night.
Availability: I am looking for a long term position.
Days: M-F.
I am also willing to split part time families as well.
For example: T & TH + M W F.

Also worked with several families for in home care, short term nanny/ babysitting positions.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am all about learning as we go!
Reading, arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, dramatic play, etc! Anything that allows the kiddos to enjoy their time and learn while we go- I'm in!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Trust. Grace. Gentleness. And respecting boundaries. As a parent now, I am learning all of these things about myself as well. And it is super important to maintain your expectations as a nanny who is caring for a child in their own home. Being a nurturing example for the child while helping them to feel safe and to trust, is extremely important.

Truly, my favorite thing is the connection with the family and the kids. I love that as a nanny, you become an addition to the family. You become apart of the village that it takes to raise these sweet human beings. That in itself is so rewarding.
