Though young adolescents, I don’t work with children under 18 at my job. I work at Mayo Inpatient Psychiatry and am constantly with patients who have various different levels of mental health stability, psychiatric diagnoses, and various levels of behavioral issues, so I’ve learned a lot of skills and methods on how to communicate and de-escalate.
