Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as an outdoor educator, summer camp counselor, swim instructor, and in a gym kids academy. At Outdoor Lab I worked closely with groups of middle school-aged students during overnight outdoor education programs. I helped lead hikes and classes, supervised cabins and meals, supported kids who were homesick or nervous, and made sure they felt safe, included, and excited to try new things.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing sports and games, reading, spending time outside, and taking kids on little adventures. I also love going on walks or hikes, swimming, exploring nature, doing creative projects, playing at the park, baking, and finding fun new activities based on what they are interested in!
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism, Down syndrome, and ADHD. I know how important it is to be patient, flexible, and understanding since every child communicates, learns, and feels comfortable in different ways.
