In 2017 I assisted as art director at the Boys & Girls club of Salem, OR. It was a fun challenge in working with how to respond to children’s needs and creativity.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Being active either inside or outside. Exploring nature. Making art together, drawing, paper mache, paper planes, bracelet making, etc. Most of the time it’s tuning into what kinds of games/activities a child already likes to play and flowing from there. Games that involve building. Reading books out loud, in a fun and interactive way. Dancing.
