A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Alexis. I currently live in Pensacola. I have experience both as an infant room leader at a daycare, and a private Nanny. My fist long-term nannying job was for a military family with 3 young boys, and I traveled to Kansas for 6 months to be a nanny for a family with 3 middle schoolers (this family had twins) in 2018. I have also done destination nannying in other states for families while the parents went on vacation. I took some time (2 years) to work as an office manager and bookkeeper, but I missed nannying. I adore children and feel it is my calling to help them grow. My most recent position has been with twin 4 year old girls and a 2 year old boy. The majority of my nannying positions have only ended because the families have been military and were relocated. I am not opposed to helping with housework or animals.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was the infant room leader at a daycare, and before that I was the toddler room leader. I have volunteered in church nurseries as a care giver and volunteered and as a child photographer/face painter/entertainer for community events.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a crafter and will do arts and crafts whenever I can! I also love the outdoors and taking children outside to play. If any museums or children’s activity centers are open I am always happy to go to those. l will bake goodies with your kiddo and share with them my love for reading.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Showing the children love and kindness and helping them grow. Making sure they have a safe space to learn in, both physically and emotionally.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children with ADHD and ODD as well as hard of hearing (no sign language as he was very young) and preemie babies.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I went to visit my previous family that moved to keep them for a week while their parents took a vacation, the boys recognized me right away and were so excited to see me. They screamed “Ms. Alexis!!!” And came running up to me. I definitely shed a tear because I had missed them so much. We had the best week playing and exploring their new town.
