Taking your time to understand the child, learn the activities they enjoy doing, learn there favorite foods, learn how they like to interact with you, there favorite games, become there best friend. Be patient with them and staying calm during breakdown and tantrums. Making sure to follow the parents rules and treat the child how you would treat your own.
