Hey there, I'm Alice! My preferred pronouns are they/she/he. I'm a senior at Columbia College Chicago studying Public Relations, with a focus in sustainability. After so much time on zoom the last two years, I'm looking to spend more time connecting in person while finishing up school.
I grew up in a big family, so I was always chasing around nieces/nephews/cousins and love spending time with children.
I love learning, asking questions, and being asked questions! I think that so much of who we are in life comes from listening to those around us, so I try to always listen as well as share about myself.
I have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, but my schedule is open and flexible other than that.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While I've never been regularly paid for child care, I have a dozen young nieces/nephews/cousins, so I have been around young children and helped take care of them my whole life. My best friend has a two-year-old and four-year-old who I've been teaching how to ski, and spend a lot of time just hanging out with them while their mom works from home.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I went to a Waldorf school growing up which has a strong focus on "alternative" education, which primarily consisted of arts and outdoors activities (rain or shine!) and spending less time using electronics. I love doing creative and artistic activities with children, and especially love spending time outside. Layers are everything!

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, I think it's really important to always nurture young minds and souls. Children are sponges, so I would get to know your parenting style and habits in order to keep consistency and balance in your child's life.
