More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I officially started nannying in 2017 for my brother and sister up until 2020. I looked after their kids and helped them with their schoolwork while doing my own! Kids love to mimic and I helped them by being the best version of myself, while teaching them to be their best selves too. After I moved to Rochester, I was a full time nanny for a family with 2 children, ages 7 & 10 at the start, who were homeschooled. The family only recently moved away, and I sadly couldn't follow. I would love to find a family who I can work for long-term (at least 2-3 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love letting kids take the reigns, with a little help of course! If your child wants to be the next Christiano Ronaldo, we'll be in the backyard passing a soccer ball to each other! If they want to have a lazy day and relax, we can practice self care and make a meal together. Kids minds are full of creativity and imagination, I'm just here to help them hone that creativity and learn about it along the way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is building not only a relationship with the kids, but with the parents too. Parents are often overworked and need someone they can rely on to help them navigate parenthood. I'm here to make parenthood just a little easier and lessen the parents stress while engaging their children's minds.
My experience with special needs children...
I looked after my niece everyday for 6-8 hours. She has autism and epilepsy. I looked after her for 4 years and helped her with coping mechanisms, stimming, and other activities to help her socialize with more than just her sisters and her cousin.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was watching 2 young boys for a few days a week while their parents went to work. The youngest was pretty apprehensive to talk with me at first but by the end of the first day when I had to leave, he was wrapped around my leg crying. Seeing how much I impacted his life in just 10 hours made my heart feel so warm. I ended up nannying for that family for about 2 & a half years.
