More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked as a Nanny, Mother's Helper, a Daycare Teacher for multiple ages, the Assistant Director of a Daycare, and am also a mother myself. My degrees are in Early Childhood Development and Speech Pathology, so I have also worked with children in clinical settings, as well as working multiple jobs with terminally ill children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm a huge lover of arts and crafts, as well as activities in the community (storytime at the library, Dallas Zoo, etc). I have the education and experience to create learning goals and materials, as well as using pre-made learning materials. I have successfully supported multiple children into being accepted at highly sought after and very competitive preschool programs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Outside of basic care, it's especially important to me to foster a love of learning in children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a non-verbal, non-mobile two year old with William's Syndrome, a couple of premature infants and toddlers, as well as a 7 year old who was premature and had feeding issues that required me to use a stomach feeding tube, adopted children who were still psychologically adjusting, and multiple children with speech and social delays.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I've always loved that moment when a toddler first learns something new and their whole face lights up.
