After receiving a DPI License I spent the last 10 years working with children from 2 to 18, with positions ranging from substitute teaching K-12 and coaching to dance instruction, outdoor education, and summer camp. My model for childcare is Julie Andrews. I believe in being firm yet fun. Children respond better to demonstration than discipline. I love being around children and animals. Linguistically inclined I am bilingual in French, speak some Spanish and German, but am just as comfortable with the non-verbal child. I was home schooled and have so many experiences I enjoy sharing from craft activities: embroidery, gardening, origami, Spirograph, candle making, knitting, weaving, coloring, drawing, pottery, paper making, and wood burning to sports like skiing, biking, skating, hiking, cross-country, swimming, riding, geocaching, and ballet.
