The most important part of watching kids is to make sure they stay safe and that they get the help they need if something were to happen, but what I think is the second thing is to have lots of fun with them! I also think that there house should always look better than it did when the parents left so just keeping the house cleen!

I know what it's like to be around a kid with special needs, I have a cousin with down syndrome and I have been around plenty of kid with special needs and I would still love to watch your child, also if they do have special needs.
