Hello!! As a 17 almost 18 year old I have very much experience in babysitting and it is one of my favorite things to do. I am currently in college and majoring in social work and elementary education. I love to be around children of all ages but especially any age between infant and about 5 or 6. As a junior in high school I went to La Pluma Elementry school every Tuesday and Thursday and helped kindergarten or first grade students with their reading, spelling, and matching words. This year as a senior once we go back, I will be doing my own lesson plans and teaching an entire class by myself every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

I try to have fun with the kids so usually when I am babysitting I love to do crafts, go to the park, or even stay home and just play outside with some type of ball or whatever keeps the children entertained, happy, and safe.

A few years ago I was babysitting for a family friend and I took her son (6 at the time) to the park with some bread crumbs to feed the ducks. We were very careful about not getting to close, but I distinctly remember him throwing one piece at a duck and then running away because there were 2 more coming for some snacks. He had such a blast and couldn’t wait to get home to tell him mom our adventure of the day. It’s things like that, that make having a connection so much better. That bond is what kept us close.
