A little bit about me

My name is Allison. I’m originally from Bethesda, MD and currently an elementary school teacher. I studied Theatre and Music at WVU, where I also served as a Children’s Theatre Director for three years, helping lead and create productions for young performers.

I’ve been working with kids since I was 16, starting in a daycare and continuing with families over the years. I have experience with everything from carpooling and meal prep to diaper changes, housekeeping, and keeping kids engaged and creative throughout the day.

My background in theatre really shapes how I connect with children—I love bringing creativity, structure, and fun into their routines. I’m passionate about what I do and always aim to create a safe, positive, and supportive environment for kids to grow in.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was supporting a shy child who was hesitant to try new things. Over time, I watched them come out of their shell, gain confidence, and fully embrace activities they once resisted. It was amazing to see their personality shine. These kind of moments also inspired me to get into teaching.
