A little bit about me

I am a fun, outgoing person that loves to encourage creativity and Independence within kids through play and asking the right questions to help them make discoveries on their own!
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and currently work as a Special Educational Assistant in Burnsville. In previous summer months I have worked as a group leader and manager at a School Age Child Care program (8 years).
I have also nannied for families in the summer months. I have unique experience with children that have special needs, foster children and children with behavioral disturbances.
I always help keep up with household chores and managing schedules. Cooking and meal planning is a great activity to include children in, when appropriate!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have sporadically nannied for a few families; offering transportation to and from events, meal planning, housekeeping, animal/house sitting as well as child care.
I have worked as a PCA, paraprofessional, educational assistant, group leader for a child care program and a manager for a child care program!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, crafts, games, sports, playing with toys, going into the community for field trips are a few, but anything that puts a smile on your child’s face will also make me happy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety is always first, but knowing and understanding the morals and values of each individual family and incorporating that into each encounter with children is extremely important in shaping them into the responsible, respectful and strong individuals they will become!

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with students and children with special needs in the school system for 8 years, providing academic and personal care. I have worked with children that have physical, social/emotional and academic disabilities. I know some ASL, and have experience with people that are nonverbal as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I truly love the children I nanny, so going to their extracurriculars and supporting them outside of work hours is a joy of mine. I really want to see your children thrive and for them to know I will always do everything I can to support and love them
