A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Alyssa, I graduated with my BA in psychology in June 2022. I recently moved to San Diego, and am looking for a full-time nanny position as my schedule is fully available Monday-Friday. I’ve worked with kids my whole life and my goal is to eventually become a child psychologist. I started out babysitting as a teenager and then worked in a preschool for two years. Following that, I was an after-school teacher for elementary school kids. Ever since then I have been working with kids with autism. Throughout the years while working each of these jobs I was also babysitting part time. I drive, have a valid license, am a non-smoker, and am pet friendly (I’ve been a pet sitter as well). I’m open to house chores, and I can pick up and drop off children to/from school and activities. I am proactive and am great at multitasking. Your child’s safety is my number one priority. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with underprivileged children in a preschool for two years where we focused on their skill development. Following that, I worked in an elementary school as an after school teacher, and then as a habilitation specialist with kids with autism. All the while, I babysat part-time for about the last 10 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children are arts and crafts, outdoor activities (park, sports etc.), board games, reading, or whatever your kid enjoys doing!

My experience with special needs children...

I have almost 3 years of experience working with children who have specials needs. I was a residential habilitation specialist and worked with a boy with autism and ADHD, and a girl with autism and ocd.
