A little bit about me

I grew up with two cognitively disabled brothers that require full-time, high-maintenance care, and often, that care was provided in part or fully by me. I also grew up with over 80 cousins, many of whom are younger than me, so I am very familiar with juggling lots of little ones! :)
I am very comfortable with high levels of responsibility and have been a caregiver for my entire life.
I am also a trained massage therapist, so I have plenty of experience providing great care and comfort.
I am very passionate about being able to help others and would love to be a part of your family’s care!
I’ve also been a pet-sitter over the years for both dogs and cats—even a guinea pig once! And would be more than happy to add fur-babies to the mix! :)

More About Me

My experience with special needs children...

My older brother and younger brother have Fragile X Syndrome, which affects their mental abilities a lot and their physicality a little. They have both required full-time care for their entire lives, so I have played a major role as caregiver for both of them. My responsibilities as caregiver have ranged from housekeeping, to meal prep and feeding, to play-time, to bathing, to errands and outings, etc. Basically, short of administering intensive medical care, I have pretty much handled every responsibility that comes with a special needs child!
In addition, I also have several cousins with Fragile X Syndrome, varying in severity, which I have also provided care for over the years.

I love my brothers and feel extremely blessed to have them, especially because of how much they have taught me about compassion, patience, and unconditional love.
