A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Alyssa and am so excited to meet you! I’m currently attending Del Tech Community College majoring in Early Childhood Education. My experience with babysitting/nannying started when I was in the 5th and 6th grade when my aunt was running a at home daycare and I used to help her when I got out of school to entertain the kids and watch over them. When I got into middle school I started to watch my three cousins I still do until this day. When COVID hit and we had to do school online my cousin stayed with me and my mom for a month or two and i was responsible for helping her with her homework and waking her up on time so she could get on zoom.I used to also help my cousin watch a family friend newborn baby and their young son. I enjoy doing fun activities, crafting things and watching disney and cartoons shows and movies. I can’t wait to meet your family!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I do help out at my college daycare in the infant room and 2-3 year old room but I am mostly in the infant room.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities to do are painting, coloring, playing with their toys, and hide and seek inside or outside. We also have TV shows/ movies there’s so much you can do inside you just have to be creative with them. Outside activities to do are playground, tag, chalk, take a walk, be creative by printing out a paper with different things you would spot outside, and have them find them to check them off the worksheet.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is seeing the kids smile and laugh while bringing their imagination to life in creative ways. Having them be comfortable telling me about their day, or what’s going on with them, how they feel, and why they are feeling this way.
