Hi! My name is Alyssa Melendez and I am a Graduate student at UMass Lowell. I just moved to Lowell from TN and although I have only nannied for two families, I have a lot experience with children of different backgrounds. I have done a lot of babysitting and I have worked as a Preschool Teacher for Infants, Young Toddlers, Toddlers, and Pre-K. Therefore, I am comfortable with diapers, bottle feeding, potty training, singing the same song over and over, choking hazards, messes, etc. I love being outside and doing a lot of Pinterest crafts with the children I am hanging out with, as well. I love to integrate my background in psychology and early childhood & family studies into my interactions with children, hoping to create an environment for curiosity and self-lead learning.
