Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts! Anything to help children develop their imagination and teach creativity or let their creativity come to life. I enjoy taking them to the park so they can run around also, too much being inside I feel isn't healthy. I'd have to say my overall favorite thing to do would be taking them to the library or book store.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What's important about being a nanny is helping the parent/parents and the children. My mother was a single mom of two children and worked full time, life can get difficult and having the extra hand is extremely helpful. What's important to remember I feel is that the nanny is not the parent, I respect the parents wishes and parenting techniques. It would be entirely inappropriate to go against any wishes or demands made by parents.

My experience with special needs children...

My half brother is autistic and it took awhile to understand his specific needs, every child is different and an autistic child or one with special needs is no different. It may just take a little more time to be comfortable with eachother and build trust and learn how they like to be interacted with.
