A little bit about me

Hello my name is Alyssa Johnson. I’m 16 years old and I am a student at Union Endicott High school, I play multiple sports such as volleyball, basketball,flag football and I run track. I speak english and Bosnian fluently. I also of course love working with kids I have 6 siblings myself, I’m the second oldest of 7 and I pretty much raised the younger ones and they are all boys so + points, they are all pretty much have grown up so I have a lot of experience of all ages. I’ve worked for close family, family friends or even my mom’s coworkers before. I can clean and cook even grocery shop, a to do list is also always great. I’ll make sure to actually! interact with the children and do things they like. My work availability is in my profile for now but once school start it will unfortunately change. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat for close family, my moms friends and even some neighbors. Most of the children were loud and liked doing activities after activities which I don’t not mind at all, I love being involved with the children and making them feel like they have a friend and feel comfortable. My grandmother bakes so I always have either food,sweets or snacks to bring which I will always check in with the adult. I do a lot of sports myself so playing outside is never a problem and always a Yes!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing board games, watching movies, baking, quiet time before a nap or bed(movies/books) even teaching them things. Or for small babies I love to make them laugh!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is being involved with the kids making them feel important and doing what they like to do. It is also important to teach them simple things such as “Thank you, No thank you” if they are younger just simple start to life things. I also think communication with the parents is also very important especially about the kids.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve never spent a day alone with a special needs child not that I wouldn’t I’ve just never got the opportunity too. I have a few family members who do require extra help which I love doing when I get the chance to see them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment right now is, I was watching this 4 year old boy and he loved playing in the mud and puddles so we did that and as we got inside to take a bath the bubbles were so big he splashed everywhere and when he got out he had thought he went number 2 in the tub and didn’t realize until I reminded him we were in the mud and we laughed for so long. Now he is 6 and when I see him he brings it up and remembers it like it was yesterday.
