A little bit about me

I have nine years of professional experience in childcare, with a strong emphasis on newborn, infant- five years old. For 18 months I worked in a CDC on a military base in an infant room with a ratio of 8:2. From 2015-November 2021 I was a highly regarded and responsible nanny for busy first time parents in Seattle, WA. I have now moved back to my hometown of Orlando and would like to provide the same quality of care to a family here. I am attentive, very calm, loving, energetic, highly intuitive, and have a positive child rearing philosophy. I think the most important things to provide a growing child are love, reading books, singing music, child-paced adventures outside the home, and good meals. I believe in privacy & professionalism for the parents; my goal is to make it easier for you to spend quality time with your children. Currently I am looking for a temporary, part time position as I relocate, but would be open to a more long term position if it is the right fit.

Assistant teacher at a NAYEC accredited Child Development Center on a military base. Infants 6 months- 1 year with a class ratio of 8:2 primarily, but was also a teacher in all classrooms ages newborn to five years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Music, dancing, singing, reading, art through all mediums indoors and outdoors, play-doh, cooking, playgrounds, museums, baby classes. I believe in getting out of the house to play and engage with the outdoors as much as possible as that is how children learn best.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Listening to the children, remaining a loving but protective caregiver so they can be free and confident to grow into their best selves and have a secure attachment with their caregiver. Also it is incredibly important to play and laugh; a child's job is to have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being a nanny because I was always excited to go to work; every second with them taught me so much and provided so much joy. I would miss them on the weekends as I developed a deep bond with them. We sang and danced a lot. I am still in contact with them since I moved, and when they tell me that "they love me every day forever more than I love them and think about me every day," I melt. I am very proud of their emotional development; I provided a safe and loving environment and was a reliable caregiver so these children were able to develop into securely attached individuals.
