A little bit about me

Hello! I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and am currently pursuing my Master's in Social Work, and have taken courses on child development and psychology and learning differences. While working in child welfare, I received training on trauma informed care and Trust Based Relational Intervention. My work experiences have also led me to become an absolute stickler regarding safe sleep practices. I would love to work with your little (or older!) ones and help them develop and reach their goals at their own pace. Every child learns and grows differently, and that should be celebrated.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I realized I want to spend my career working with kids after volunteering at the local Crisis Nursery in high school. Since then, I've worked with children at daycares, Girl Scout camp, Our Lady's Inn Maternity Home, and in the child welfare field.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love all types of arts and crafts! Making something let's kids unleash their imagination and creativity. And we can make things to use in imaginative play! If you don't have a pirate outfit and that's what your child wants to play, I guarantee that with some items from the recycle bin and dollar store, we can make them a swashbuckling captain in no time :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids are safe, loved, cared for, and listened to. And of course that there's open and consistent communication with the parents/caregivers, so any issues can be addressed promptly and we're all on the same page.

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked with children who have developmental delays and autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Any time I arrive and a child is excited and runs up to greet me. And when kids say "I love you" ❤️ They might not mean it like "love, love" like they love their family, but it means they see me as someone who cares about them and will keep them safe
