Since 2011 I have worked in a couple of different child care facilities. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and children from the ages 2-12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities I like doing with children are puzzles, painting, coloring, depending on the age working on the appropriate skills they need to be working on.
Outdoor activities would include going to the park, maybe a nearby pond and we can feed the ducks if there are some, blowing bubbles, drawing with chalk, and other things but again the activities will depend on the child's/children's age.

The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me about being a nanny is the child/children & parents being able to develop a trusting relationship with me as I care for their child/.children. It is also important to me that I work on teaching the child/children different skills and knowledge they need to know and make them feel safe and cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
Within the past ten years of caring for children I have worked with children that are autistic, and have down syndrome. Within in their difficulties of maybe looking different, or feeling different, I treat them no different than a child or children are not considered special need kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have never been a nanny honestly speaking but I have had some favorite moments within the daycares that I have worked. I think the best moment for me has always been leaving whatever I am going through outside the door before I enter my job, seeing their bright faces and screaming my name because they are so happy to see me. As adults we go through things and are expected to deal with them while children go through things and don't know what to do or may be confused or even sad or scared. So to know that I am making their day then my day has been made. Those are the moments for me.
